Pikachu Yarn Bug
Get the video kids interested in crafts with this adorable bug.

You need:

• Yellow Yarn
• Heavy Paper
• 2-1/2" Styrofoam Ball
• 5" Square of Cardboard
• Tacky Glue
• Scissors
• Toothpicks
• Pikachu Bug Parts

Instructions:

Print Pikachu Bug Parts on heavy paper. Cut pieces out.

Make a pompon by wrapping yarn around a piece of cardboard at least 100 times. Mix the yarn colors any way you would like. Cut a 6" piece of yarn and slide it under wrapped yarn. Tie tightly into a double knot. Turn floppy over and cut completely through yarn on this side. Turn yarn blob sideways and smooth down strands.

Ask on adult to slice off the bottom of the Styrofoam egg so it stands on end. Cover the top and sides of the egg with tacky glue. Separate the strands of the pompon to fit the Styrofoam egg up inside. Press pompon into place. Arrange yarn.

Attach eyes, ears, nose and cheeks with tacky glue. Glue tail onto toothpick leaving 1/2" of the toothpick sticking out the bottom of the tail. Press the toothpick end into the Styrofoam egg.
