"E" Bead and Safety Pin Flag Pattern

You need:

• 7 Safety Pins, Size 1
• 1 Safety Pin, Size 2
• Red, White & Blue "E" Beads
• Metal Nail File
• Needle-nose pliers
• Krylon Acrylic Clear Coat (optional)

Our prepack makes approximately 36 pins.

Instructions:

If desired, spray safety pins with clear coat to keep them from tarnishing.

Each row is a size 1 pin with "e" beads strung on it. Open pins and string seed beads following the pattern provided. Start at the top with Row 1 and work down. Use pliers to squeeze the pin head closed permanently. "E" beads are are irregular in size. You may not be able to use the larger beads in your package.

Use point of metal nail file to bend open the coil at the base of size 2 pin.

Thread coil of beaded pin #7 onto front shank of larger pin, forcing around coil and onto the back shank of the larger pin. Add a red "E" bead then string on pin 6 followed by another red "e" bead. Continue using picture above as a guide working from right to left.
