Cub Scout Robot
You boys will be thrilled with this robot project! His eyes actually light up and blink blue and gold.

You need:

• Quart Sized Food Pail
• Gold Metallic Acrylic Paint and Foam Brush
• Blue Craft Foam to cut Circles
• Scout Foamies
• Low Temp Glue Gun
• Two Magnetic Flashing Buttons
• Two Tinsel Pipe Cleaners
• Tacky Glue
• Scissors

Our kit makes one cub scout robot.

Instructions:

Paint food pail gold. It takes 2 or 3 coats to get a good coverage. Let dry. Make a hat. If using our kit, the hat comes preprinted on card stock. Cut on the solid lines and fold on the dash lines. Glue corners. Use a pen to poke a hole in two sides of the painted food pail and in the middle of the bottom. Poke a hole in the middle of the hat.

Remove the black ring from the blinking lights. Slide the magnets from the back of the lights. Hold the magnets inside the container and attach the lights to the front. Slide a pipe cleaner through the holes in the sides.

Close the food pail, turn upside down, positioning holder for the mouth. Slide three smaller foamie circles in size order on each pipe cleaner side. Trim pipe cleaner. Place hat on top. Push pipe cleaner through the hole in the hat and down into the food pail. Trim. Glue largest foamie circle to pipe cleaner end. Glue last circle behind it to hide pipe cleaner. Glue foamie fleur-de-lis to front of circle.
