Brownie Troop 734, Cordova, TN
This troop of nine 2nd graders was started by a Senior Girl Scout who earned the Gold Award last year. She decided to spend her last year of scouting starting and developing a troop because there was none in her area. All the girls in the troop qualified for financial asst from the local council.

Brownie Troop 797 and Cadette/SR Troop 101, Phoenix AZ
Combined, these troops have 22 girls. The girls and their families just do not have money to use for dues. We barter for supplies from family and friends. We do not go on many trips but the girls love crafts.

Brownie Troop 1152, Toledo, OH
This troop of 10 first graders are from the inner city. Most of the girls families are on some form of government aide. Every week we work on badge related materials, but not much in the way of crafts. We are planning a weekend camping trip from cookie sale profits, but could really use help with crafts.
This troop received a Puzzle Badge in a Bag, and 72 Piece Artist Set.*
Brownie Troop 398, Van Buren, MO
Almost half the children in this area live in poverty. This troop of 18 stays active with community projects and crafts.
This troop received a book making kit from Klutz.com, Pony Beads, Lanyard Hooks, and Plastic Lace.*
Brownie Troop 418, Columbia, MD
This troop of 7 girls just started and missed out on cookie sales. The girls really like to craft but seldom have money for supplies. They would like to go on an outing however the families can't really afford the dues let alone a trip.
This troop received Tee Shirts, Metallic Masks, Chinese Jump Ropes.*
Multi-Level Troop 20, Duluth MN
This troop has 47 girls. About half pay little or no dues. Two of the scouts have artificial limbs, one is hearing impaired, and 2 with severe diabetes. Leader has special ed training. Parents rotate as assistants.
This troop received 4 Graphic Arts Badge in a Bag*
Daisy Troop 6104, Fort Hood, TX
Brand new Daisy troop of six. Each of the girls have at least 1 parent in the military, many deployed overseas. With the cost of living, then adding in mailing packages to loved ones, our troop rarely gets to order craft kits or bulk supplies.
This troop received a Law Bracelet Kit, Compass Necklace Kits, Bridging Centerpiece Petal Packettes*
Junior Troop 245, Peoria, AZ
All 18 girls are new to Girl Scouts and have never been members before. Many of the girls who joined the troop received council help for their registrations. They come from low income families and can't afford even the $1.00 weekly dues.
This troop received supplies to make keepsake boxes for their mothers and Law Bracelet Kits.*
Daisy Troop 3004, New London Ct
6 of the 9 Daisies are on financial assistance. They are an inner city troop, and most of the girls don't go anywhere or do anything unless council is able to aid. Since Daisies can't fundraise minimal resources cover the basics only. All the rest of the money has come out of the leader's pocket.
This troop received daisy frames, daisy bracelets, daisy paper doll Friends and a Law Bracelet Kit.*
