Classic Natural Dyed Eggs
What's more fun then coloring eggs? Experimenting with natural dyes. Thanks go to our forum member, Jennifer, this information.

You need:

  • Eggs
  • White Vinegar
  • Spoon
  • Cooking Oil
  • Beets, Cranberries, or Frozen Raspberries for Pink Eggs
Yellow Onion Skins for for Orange Eggs
Orange or Lemon Peels for Yellow Eggs
    Spinach Leaves for Green Eggs
    Canned Blueberries for Blue Eggs
    Coffee for Tan Eggs

Instructions:

To make a natural dye, boil  water for 30 minutes with ingredients found in the kitchen. See examples above. Strain and put the liquid back in the pot  and boil the eggs for 15 minutes. Let sit longer in the mixture to get a darker color. We splattered our eggs with brown acrylic paint off a toothbrush to give them a speckled look.

Let dry. Use a little cooking oil on a paper towel to polish eggs.
