No-Sew
Bandana
Shirt
No sewing! Just cut and tie together two bandanas to make a shirt you can really wear!

You Need:

Instructions:

Note: multicolor bananas shown in the photo are no longer available.

Lay out two bandanas, wrong sides together on your work surface. Use a fabric scissors to cut slits 2-1/2" deep up the right side and the left side of the bandana every 3/4". Cut to 13" from the top cutting through both layers.

Cut out the top corners 2-1/2" by 2-1/2" and discard these small squares of fabric. See diagram above. The gray areas are the cut outs. Make several 2-1/2" cuts for each shoulder and cut out a scoop for the neck.

Beginning tying. Take one of the fringes from the top and one from the bottom bandana. Continue tying all around.

The bandana shown measures 20" square and makes a size 8-10 shirt. You can use a larger bandana or just cut squares of fabric. Sizes are as follows:

18" square for size 4-6 (child small)

20" square for size 8-10 (child medium)

22" square for size 12-14 (child large)

24" square for size 16-18 (child x-large)
