Camp
Bucket Hats

Decorate a bucket hat to wear during camp for protection from too much sun.

You need:

Instructions:

Miracle sponges are flat. It's easy to draw on them and cut them out with regular scissors. Then run them under water or dip them in a bowl of water and watch them expand to full size.

Use foamie leaves as a stencil to trace around the miracle sponge. Cut out. Run under water and squeeze out excess water. Pour paint out onto plastic plates. We used three shades of green.

Firmly stuff the hat with newspaper. Press the cut out expanded sponges into paint. Dab off excess. You will get better results if you don't use too much paint. Press onto the hat. Mix shapes and colors for desired effect.  Let dry.

String two pony beads on a pin. Dab the end of a trimmed down turkey feather with tacky glue and slide it into the pony beads. Repeat for multiple pins.
