Styrofoam Snowman
Make a styrofoam snowman. You can even dress him with a cap for cub scouts or a vest girl scouts. 

You need:

• 2-1/2" Styrofoam Ball
• 3" Styrofoam Ball
• Low Temp Glue Gun
• Felt
• Fabric Glue
• Mini Broom (Not Shown)
• Mini Carrot (Not Shown)
• Black Pony Beads
• Scraps of Craft Foam
• Pipe Cleaners
• Pattern
• Small Miniature Cap (optional)
• Pattern for Cap (optional)

Instructions:

Flatten out the bottom and the top of a 3" styrofoam ball by pressing it firmly unto a hard surface. Flatten just the bottom of a 2" ball. Use hot glue to glue together. Press black pony beads all the way in to styrofoam to make eyes, mouth and buttons. Cut out a small triangle in orange foam for nose. Glue on face. Put a pipe cleaner in half and cut off 1-1/2" of each arm. Twist around arms to make branch hands. Poke arms into Styrofoam.

Print pattern for vest and hat or use this pattern for cap. Staple to felt and cut out. 

To Make Cub Scout Cap: Use glue gun to glue the bottom edge of the yellow piece of cap front to the blue cap. Glue the top edge to the cap. Finish with blue triangle. Glue to snowman's head. 

To Make Neckerchief: Cut a 6-1/2" square and cut in half on an angle. Roll and glue longest edge. Glue around snowman. The neckerchief will be too long and needs to be trimmed.

To Make the Stocking Cap: Print pattern. Cut out. Glue the bottom edge up about 3/8" using fabric glue. Glue the edges to together. Use 1/2 pipe cleaner and twist around gathered top near fringes. Glue to head. 

To Make Vest: Print pattern. Cut out. Wrap around snowman with arms in holes.

To make snowman stand better, you can glue it to cardboard painted with snowtex paint. You can also make into a ornament by gluing a wire hanger in through the cap.
