Penguin
Beanie
You decide! Your penguin beanie can made from
foam for durability or card stock for economy.
You need:
Instructions:
Measure around child's head. Use
black craft foam or card stock to make a 2" band that is 2" bigger
than child's head measurement. Glue into circle. Using clothespins to
hold until dry if using tacky glue. Glue dots will stick right away
Cut black strips measuring 2" x 12" (11" if making your
project from card stock). Glue a strip
to the inside of the band attaching both ends, each on an opposite side. Glue
another
strip crossing over the strip already glued and one more each between
each of those. See picture above.
Cut a 8" half circle out of white craft foam or card stock. Tracing
around a small plate will make it easier. Glue to the front of your
beanie for penguin face. Glue on wiggle eyes. Cut a triangle out of
goldenrod foam or card stock for beak. Glue to face. Draw on nostrils.
